Russia Report – Holding the Government to Account

I have been campaigning to get the Government to actually investigate if there was any interference into the Brexit Referendum by Russia. This followed the release of the Russia Report from the independent security committee which made it clear that no investigation has taken place despite some clear suspicions that activity probably took place.

It is absolutely scandalous that:

a) We still do not know if there was any interference into one of the most divisive issues our country has ever experienced

b) Our government refuses to investigate

c) UK democracy is not protected like we thought it was and should be

Here is my pitch to explain why people should sign a petition and get the government to investigate:

The Government responded to the petition saying they were not going to investigate any further as they had not seen any evidence of interference. However, the only reason they have not seen any evidence is because they have not looked?!

It is extremely worrying that this government does not like to be scrutinised or transparent. It may seem subtle, but our democracy is very much in jeopardy.
